The Master's Program in Soil Science at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) is designed to produce graduates competent in the sustainable management of soil resources. The program examines the physical, chemical, biological, and management aspects of soil to support agricultural productivity, environmental conservation, and environmentally conscious development. Students will engage in research on soil degradation, rehabilitation of critical lands, soil fertility management, and the application of geospatial technologies for land-use planning. The program also promotes an interdisciplinary approach to addressing challenges related to climate change, food security, and the sustainability of natural resources.

The curriculum is designed to provide scientific solutions to soil, environmental, and agricultural issues at both local and global scales. The faculty comprises experts in soil science with nationally and internationally recognized research track records. The program emphasizes applied research, encouraging students to conduct studies with direct societal impact, such as soil management for food security and natural resource conservation.

Graduates of the Master's Program in Soil Science at Universitas Padjadjaran possess competencies in advancing knowledge in the sustainable management of dryland and paddy soils. They are capable of contributing to the improvement of community quality of life, mastering and developing related knowledge, and producing innovative works that solve various problems in the field. Furthermore, graduates are proficient in formulating scientific concepts and study findings based on scientific principles, designing applied research recognized at both national and international levels, and communicating ideas and research outcomes to both academic and general audiences.
