The Master of Environmental Science Program at Padjadjaran University is designed to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, dedicated, and committed to sustainable environmental management.
Its core curriculum was designed in 1999 by a team from the Center for Environment and Sustainability Science (CESS) in collaboration with various international partners, including the University of Twente (the Netherlands). This program emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach that integrates ecological, sociological, and economic perspectives to address complex environmental challenges. The goal is to foster an ecologically literate society through a paradigm shift in environmental management—from one overly focused on the Cartesian worldview philosophy to one grounded in an ecological worldview philosophy.
The hybrid flexible (HyFlex) learning mechanism at the Graduate School of Padjadjaran University is designed to provide students with flexibility in their learning process. This system combines face-to-face (offline) and online learning methods, allowing students to choose the mode of participation that best suits their needs without compromising educational quality.
