The Doctoral Program in Accounting Science at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran (PDIA FEB Unpad) operates under the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 228/E/O/2013 concerning the Establishment/Operation of the Doctoral Program (S-3) in Accounting Science at Universitas Padjadjaran in Bandung. Recognizing the continuous changes in the national and global economic environment and conditions, this program was established to address the challenges posed by these changes by producing leading researchers in the field of accounting who can contribute to the advancement of accounting science. The Doctoral Program in Accounting Science at FEB Unpad possesses a unique characteristic in the implementation of the three pillars of higher education compared to other doctoral programs in accounting in Indonesia. The program is based on research-based education, allowing students to determine their final scholarly work in the form of a dissertation according to their interests and aptitudes. In the implementation of dissertation supervision, the Doctoral Program in Accounting Science at FEB Unpad not only has internal promoters but also employs external promoters and examiners from recognized national and international institutions, both within and outside the educational sector. These external partners include, among others, UGM, UI, IPB, UNIBRAW, UIN, BPK, BPKP, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), UITM, and Denmark.
