Economics

The Doctoral Program in Economics (DIE) has been established since 1993. This program was founded to continuously engage with and effectively address the challenges of the national and global economic environment and conditions, as well as the ever-evolving academic dynamics. The DIE program aims to produce superior economists and researchers capable of contributing to the development and dissemination of economic science and the formulation of economic policy. Students in the DIE program consist of university lecturers and practitioners from both governmental and private institutions. The curriculum structure comprises three main elements: I. Doctoral Qualification Competency Courses/Activities, II. Research (Dissertation/Article Collection), III. Dissemination of Research Results. The study stages have a duration of 6 semesters and include: a. Doctoral Qualification Competency. b. Research Proposal Seminar (SUR). c. Research Results Seminar (SHR). d. Dissertation Manuscript Review (PND). e. Presentation at national/international scientific seminars. f. Doctoral Promotion Defense (SPD). The learning process in the DIE program is supported by several elements that constitute the program's sources of excellence.
