Marine Tourism

The Applied Undergraduate Program in Maritime Tourism at Unpad is an academic program grounded in several frameworks including Pari Edu-Trak (Maritime Tourism Education Theory and Practicum), Pari TReND (Maritime Tourism – Technology, Research and Network Development), Pari Command Services (Maritime Tourism – Community and Social Services), and Pari Wonderful (Maritime Tourism – Worldwide Development for Graduate Quality).

The curriculum of the Maritime Tourism program comprises ten modules:

• Module 1 – Character Education
• Module 2 – Scope of Maritime Tourism
• Module 3 – Maritime Tourism Entrepreneurship
• Module 4 – Coastal Tourism Outreach and Conservation Area Management
• Module 5 – Tourism and Hospitality Industry
• Module 6 – Tour Operations
• Module 7 – Workplace Health and Safety Management
• Module 8 – Socio-Cultural and Coastal Ecosystem Analysis
• Module 9 – Maritime Tourism Dive Master
• and Module 10 – Maritime Tourism Marine Spatial Planning Surveyor

Currently implemented student certifications follow the water tourism tour leader certification scheme. Planned development of certification schemes in collaboration with LSP Unpad includes schemes for maritime tourism marketing manager, tour and travel manager, and dive operations manager.
