The Doctoral Program in Social Welfare Science at Padjadjaran University has been conducted since 2011 under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The program is designed to produce graduates with qualifications at Level 9 of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), who are capable of mastering, critically evaluating, and developing theories and practices in social welfare in accordance with the dynamics of social change at local, national, and global levels.
Education in this program is based on research (research-based learning), where students are required to produce dissertations published in reputable international journals. The learning process is supported by complementary courses that strengthen research skills, knowledge dissemination, and career development.
Graduates of the Doctoral Program in Social Welfare Science at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, are prepared to serve as academics, expert researchers, consultants/practitioners in social welfare services, and social policy formulators grounded in evidence-based principles and critical values. Supported by experienced faculty and national and international cooperation networks, this program is committed to producing graduates who are excellent, innovative, and globally competitive.
