The Nuclear Pharmacy Specialist Program at Unpad is designed to produce pharmacy experts skilled in the use of radioactive materials for medical and diagnostic applications, particularly in the field of nuclear pharmacy.
This program integrates conventional pharmaceutical knowledge with nuclear technology to develop and manage radiation-based therapies and diagnostics, while ensuring the safety and effectiveness of radioactive material use within the healthcare sector. The core curriculum provides knowledge of the regulations and safety standards governing the use of radioactive materials in healthcare, as well as the ethics and procedures followed by nuclear pharmacy professionals in hospital or clinical settings.
Through this curriculum, graduates of the Unpad Nuclear Pharmacy Specialist Program are prepared to become competent professionals in managing nuclear-based therapies and diagnostics, with a strong emphasis on patient and medical personnel safety, and adherence to strict regulations governing the use of radioactive materials.
