Informatics Engineering

The Informatics Engineering program offers four areas of specialization (concentrations): (1) Computational Science and Numerical Methods, (2) Information Systems and Multimedia Systems (formerly Software Engineering Information Systems), (3) Intelligent Systems and Graphics Systems, and (4) Computer Networks and Data Communications.

Graduates of the Informatics Engineering program possess the following advantages: (1) Ability to analyze and design systems using informatics engineering terminology and propose alternative solutions based on a systems approach. (2) Ability to apply scientific methods in solving informatics engineering problems with expertise in advanced programming. (3) Ability to maintain personal integrity and develop a professional attitude in work, both individually and in teams, as a computer science professional. (4) Sensitivity to societal developments and needs, particularly those related to computer science, while upholding the ethics of the computer science profession. (5) Ability to serve as agents for meeting the market demand for computer science intellectuals and/or as agents for creating new employment opportunities.
