The Master of Epidemiology Program at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Padjadjaran (FKUP UNPAD) was established in 2014. The program aims to produce competent, ethical, highly dedicated graduates who are capable of competing on a global scale. It offers a curriculum based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), designed to address societal needs and global challenges. The learning approach integrates education, research, and community service in alignment with the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).

The Master of Epidemiology Program at UNPAD offers several specializations: infectious disease epidemiology, non-communicable disease epidemiology, spatial epidemiology, as well as maternal and child health. With a total of 45 credits that can be completed in 4 semesters, the program supports the development of graduates with a "MAIN LEADER" character (Manager, Advocate, Investigator, Leader, Educator). The program is actively engaged in innovative research, scientific publications, and international collaborations to deliver a positive impact on society, particularly in West Java and Indonesia.

The Master of Epidemiology Program has a vision to become a reputable program in the Southeast Asian region by 2030, with excellence in research and innovation in addressing infectious diseases and maternal and child health issues. The program is supported by faculty members with strong academic backgrounds and extensive professional networks. A project-based learning approach enables students to engage directly in community-based research and relevant case studies. The program also features international collaborations, further strengthening the global competitiveness of its graduates.

The Master of Epidemiology Program has specializations and research focuses in infectious disease epidemiology, non-communicable disease epidemiology, spatial epidemiology, and maternal and child health, which are relevant to both local and international societal needs.

Graduates of the Master of Epidemiology Program at UNPAD are competent in analyzing, designing, and managing epidemiological studies to understand the distribution and determinants of disease in populations. They are skilled in designing and conducting epidemiological research, processing health data, and identifying risk factors for disease prevention. These graduates are also capable of developing evidence-based health policies, monitoring disease trends, and designing public health intervention programs. Equipped with strong analytical skills and a profound understanding of research methodology, they are prepared to contribute in the fields of public health, medical research, and health policy development to enhance societal well-being.
