The Neurology Study Program conducts relevant and innovative medical education and research, particularly in the fields of central nervous system infections, higher functions, and cerebrovascular diseases, to produce graduates with competitive capabilities at both national and international levels. Research activities at the Neurology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, UNPAD, are conducted by faculty and students in an integrated manner with community service based on the program's roadmap. Throughout 2024, three grants were awarded to faculty members/consultants for research purposes, specifically the UNPAD Internal Grant (HIU). Nearly all permanent faculty members of the Neurology Study Program at UNPAD Faculty of Medicine were involved in these grants. In 2024, the Neurology Study Program at UNPAD Faculty of Medicine produced 16 publications, both national and international. Learning outcomes for graduates show that 84.6% achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of >3.50, and the average first-time pass rate for competency examinations exceeded 100%. Graduates of the Specialist Neurology Study Program at UNPAD possess competencies in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the nervous system, whether acute or chronic. They are skilled in conducting neurological evaluations, designing medical care plans, and managing conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, peripheral nerve disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. These graduates are also proficient in performing diagnostic procedures such as EEG, EMG, and MRI, as well as providing medical therapy and neurological rehabilitation. With a deep understanding of neurology pathology and therapy, they are prepared to contribute in hospitals, clinics, and medical research to enhance the quality of life for patients with neurological disorders.
