The Radiology Specialist Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Padjadjaran (FK Unpad) has been operational since 1961 and was officially established as a study program within the governance structure of Universitas Padjadjaran in 1980. Over its extensive history, the dynamics of the specialist education system and regulations in radiology in Indonesia, along with the evolution of radiology as a discipline, have positioned the Radiology Specialist Study Program at FK Unpad as one of the study programs with superior accreditation in Indonesia. Given its long historical trajectory, the program's location in West Java, and the establishment of the Academic Health System (AHS) at FK Unpad, the vision, mission, objectives, and strategies of the Radiology Specialist Study Program are determined through a process involving all stakeholders. They are aligned with the overarching vision of Unpad, FK Unpad, and its main teaching hospital, Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung (RSHS). The program's vision and mission are reviewed every five years to ensure alignment with the strategic plans of Unpad, FK Unpad, and RSHS. The vision of the Radiology Specialist Study Program at FK Unpad is to become a Radiology Science Study Program that prioritizes excellence in education and teaching, research and development, and community service in the field of Radiology, thereby supporting the Faculty of Medicine at Unpad in achieving a ranking within the world's top 500 by 2024.
