The Specialist-1 (Sp-1) Program in Urology at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Padjadjaran (FK Unpad) is the third urology education center in Indonesia, following the University of Indonesia and Airlangga University. The program aims to produce competent urology specialists capable of managing various urological conditions, with a particular emphasis on infectious diseases and oncology.
The educational curriculum spans five years, encompassing a range of courses and clinical training designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills essential for urological practice. Key courses in this program include: Fundamentals of Surgical Science, Basic Urology, General Urology, Infectious Urology and Oncology, Andrology, Pediatric Urology, Neuro-Urology, Functional Urology, and Female Urology, extending to Urological Trauma and Reconstruction.
The program is supported by comprehensive educational facilities, including lecture halls, meeting rooms, a library with a collection of urology textbooks and scientific journals, as well as clinical service amenities such as outpatient polyclinics, inpatient wards, and operating rooms. Additionally, the teaching faculty comprises experts with diverse specializations in the field of urology, such as andrology, oncology, pediatrics, and other related areas.
