Currently, the Indonesian Literature program at Unpad implements an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, supported by faculty members who are experts in the fields of language, literature, and culture. Approximately 70% of the faculty members in Indonesian Literature hold doctoral degrees, with qualifications obtained both domestically and internationally. Each year, the Indonesian Literature program is also a preferred destination for international students from around the world seeking to study the Indonesian language, literature, and culture.

Some of the flagship courses offered in the Indonesian Literature program include Digital Linguistics, Digital Literature and Culture, Popular Literature and the Creative Economy, Indonesian for Speakers of Other Languages (BIPA), Copywriting, Corpus Linguistics, Figures and Milestones in Indonesian Literature and Culture, Film Studies, Poetry Studies, Short Story Studies, Drama and Theater Studies, Islam in Indonesian Literature and Culture, Microlinguistics, and Macrolinguistics.

The strengths of the Indonesian Literature program are:

  1. It holds superior accreditation from BAN-PT and is currently in the process of applying for international accreditation
  2. The OBE-based curriculum is designed to be dynamic, aligning with academic developments and market demands
  3. The typical study period for students to complete the minimum of 144 credits is generally seven or eight semesters
  4. The teaching staff consists of experts in their respective fields, with qualifications from both domestic and international institutions
  5. Students can actively participate in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program
  6. Indonesian Literature also serves as a primary destination for international students from various countries wishing to learn the Indonesian language, literature, and culture
