German Literature

This study program envisions becoming a program of excellence at the national, regional, and international levels in the provision of higher education, while maintaining a strong commitment and integrity in producing qualified human resources in the fields of language, literature, translation, and German culture by 2026.

In the German Studies Program at the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Padjadjaran, students undertake various foundational courses on the German language at the A1–B2 levels, covering four core language competencies: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Students are also introduced to German culture.

At the advanced level, students in the German Studies Program at the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Padjadjaran, acquire knowledge related to linguistics, literature, and translation, particularly from German and Indonesian perspectives, as well as German-Indonesian intercultural communication. Additionally, students have the opportunity to study German for specific purposes, such as German for business, tourism, healthcare professionals, and information technology.
