Since its establishment in 1996, the Agricultural Engineering Study Program at UNPADA has become a leading center of excellence in education for sustainable agricultural technology and innovation. Holding a Superior Accreditation, this program is committed to producing a generation of professionals prepared to meet global challenges in the modern agricultural sector. The study program has also met the international standards of IABEE, making it one of the premier engineering programs at both national and international levels.
The curriculum is comprehensively designed with a focus on four main areas: Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, Post-Harvest Engineering and Process Technology, and Agricultural Mechanization Management Systems. Through an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach, students are provided with flexibility and opportunities for experiential learning.
Modern facilities such as advanced greenhouses, CNC workshops, turning and woodworking/rattan workshops, essential oil processing laboratories, and integrated laboratories, alongside strategic partnerships with industry, support practice-based learning that is relevant to future needs. The program prepares graduates who are competent in applying cutting-edge technology, systems analysis, and the innovative and sustainable management of resources in the fields of agricultural and biosystems engineering.
