The Doctoral Program in Agroindustrial Technology is a well-accredited study program by BAN-PT that contributes to the development and utilization of cross-disciplinary agroindustrial science for community welfare, and is recognized nationally, regionally, and internationally. It implements high-quality education in the field of agricultural and information technology (both theoretical and applied) to produce graduates who are competitive both morally and academically and beneficial to society. This is achieved through:

  1. 1) developing research and community service to support education and the advancement of science and technology for the academic community, government, industry, and society at large;
  2. 2) implementing educational management and applying quality assurance principles, utilizing a professional management system based on transparency and accountability to create effective and efficient institutional relationships;
  3. 3) establishing continuous domestic and international collaborative partnerships based on principles of equality, partnership, and mutual trust; and
  4. 4) developing new study programs in the field of agricultural industrial technology and other applied sciences.

The cumulative study load in the Master's Program in Agroindustrial Technology is 54 credit hours, which can be completed over 4 semesters. Students are equipped with general foundational courses followed by specialized courses according to their field of study. The Master's Program in Agroindustrial Technology is divided into 5 areas of study/specializations/concentrations, namely:

  1. 1) Agricultural and Food Machinery Engineering,
  2. 2) Soil and Water Engineering,
  3. 3) Post-Harvest Technology,
  4. 4) Food Technology, and
  5. 5) Food Security.

The teaching and learning process in the Doctoral Program in Agroindustrial Technology employs Student-Centered Learning, Computer-Based Learning, and Self-learning methods, as it is a research-based doctoral program. The curriculum is periodically evaluated and developed to meet the evolving demands of the profession.
